Asheville - Louis Samuel Young, 61, of 60 Congress St., died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, at John F. Keever Solace Center.
Louis was a native of Burnsville and a son of the late Charles Lee Young Sr. and Minnie Avery Young.
Louis owned his own business for 17 years and was a recent employee of the Asheville Housing Authority. Louis was a member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church where he served as usher, chairman of Trustees, treasurer, as a member of the Mens Club and the Advisory Board. Louis enjoyed golfing and was member of the Skyview Golf Association and past member of Friendship Lodge # 18.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; brother, Charles Lee Young Jr.; son, Derrick Lytle; and grandson, Patrick Watkins.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Annie Mae Fullwood Young; sons, Billy Watkins (LeighAnn), of Swannanoa, Harry Coleman (Pam), of Arden, and Tyrone Lytle (April), of Atlanta; daughters, Rhonda Renee Lytle, of Asheville, and Theresa Patterson (Aaron), of Greensboro; sisters, Barbara Young, of Burnsville, and Carolyn Myles, of Black Mountain; seven grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Triedstone Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. J.W. Brewster officiating. Burial will be at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
